Meet Malaysha Castillo

Malaysha Castillo, M.A., LMFT

I am a licensed mental health professional and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has worked in the mental health field since 2012. My professional experience includes intensive outpatient behavioral health services as well as work with Drug Court and substance-related outpatient cases.

As a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), I provide independent evaluations for employees who have violated U.S. Department of Transportation drug and alcohol regulations. My role is to provide a respectful, objective evaluation, determine appropriate education and/or treatment recommendations, and help individuals understand the steps required in the DOT return-to-duty process.

I understand that a DOT drug or alcohol violation can affect a person’s livelihood and create a great deal of uncertainty. My goal is to make the SAP process clear and straightforward while maintaining the professional and regulatory standards required of a DOT SAP.
